Piranha 3DD came out earlier this month and I had a chance to do some animation on it at a local studio called SpeedShape. We did around 20-30 shots of the movie that included animation and other vfx as well. It was great to do some feature film animation, and finally be able to see it on the big screen! I worked on a couple other movies and did a process call Rotomation were we had to take a cg model and animated over the plate, but since only the animation depth was use for the stereo conversion you couldn't really see it.....unless you put on 3D Glasses.

Motor City Comic Con Weekend

Motor City Comic Con 2012 was a blast! All 3 days were very busy, especially Saturday.  It was great to see how many people came over to the Alpha Omega table and show tons of support for The ARMSmaster Project! On top of that we were busy doing commission sketches, and selling prints :)

Besides the comic stuff, there were plenty of panels happening all day at the con, and I believe maybe for the first time, a wrestling match! Motor City Comic Con 2012 had it all apparently :). Cant wait for next year. Be sure to check us out at Detroit Fanfare later this year.

Motor City Comic Con 2012!!!

I'm getting together some last minute things for Motor City Comic Con this weekend. Myself and some of Alpha Omega members will be there all three days. Come check us out in Artist Alley. We will be promoting the company, ARMSmasters, and selling our own work as well.

I've been busy freelancing for a couple of different companies but the last four months between jobs and after work hours, I have been spending time trying to make art pieces together for the con and my own personal portfolio. I'll try posting a few up on the blog to show what I have been up to.

This first sketch is of Red Hood from DC comics. Ever since the new 52 started I have been following Red Hood & The Outlaws series. The story line is great and the art is amazing! Check it out if you get a minute.

More to come,

Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the Wrold

Wow this year has gone by quick. It seems like yesterday it was the end of January and I had wrapped up one job and started another one. A company called Speedshape brought me on board to help convert Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World from 2d to 3D Stereoscopic. I was brought on to do some match move animation (Rotomation) work again like I had on Alice In Wonderland but that quickly change after training on The Foundry Nuke. It was a big switch going from Animation to Compositing but it was fun. We converted the whole movie! It was a lot of fun and a great experience. Plus now I know Nuke and have another movie to add to the resume :). Congratulations to the Stereo team at Speedsahpe!

On another note, I am finally animating on a feature film! My career goal! I feel extremely bless at the moment and can't wait for the next challenge.

ARMSmaster Bar Scene in 3D!

Earlier this year I landed a contract job doing Stereoscopic Conversion using the Foundry Nuke. I thought it would be fun to practice on a image I had created. Bringing ARMSmaster to a whole other dimension!!!!

Floating Board Test V2

Round 2! More like round 78, but who's counting. I change a few things here and there in the test that a few friends pointed out, things that would help push the test further. Once I cut a new demo reel I'll be signing up for a Vimeo account. So hopefully then these quick times I post will be bigger!

Floating Board Test

I finally had a chance to finish this test over Christmas break. I started it over a year ago and then stop working on it once it was blocked out. More recently I started back up on the test but decided to start from scratch. I'm pretty happy with the way the test turned out, but I may end up changing the way he falls off the board, I'm not sure if the psychics are correct. Will see what happens.
